Screw-Drive Technology
Kalea is known for its screw-driven home lift technology. Designed with residential use in mind, this system provides a high level of safety and includes features that support comfortable everyday mobility, even during emergency situations.
From a technical perspective, the system also offers a more practical installation approach. Screw-drive technology reduces the need for the extensive structural work often required by conventional lift systems. As a result, the home lift can be integrated more easily into residential properties with minimal renovation disruption while making efficient use of available space.

Kalea Lift operates four manufacturing facilities dedicated to producing your home lift units.
Gävle Production Unit
Our historic manufacturing facility in Gävle, Sweden, is located approximately 200 km north of Stockholm. This Swedish production unit focuses on accessibility lifts for the European market and also features a dedicated production line for premium home lifts.

Jiaxing Production Unit
Our manufacturing facility in Jiaxing, China, opened in 2020 and serves as the group’s largest research and development center. The facility supports the development of home lifts for the global market and specializes in ultra-premium home lifts and custom home lift solutions, including Antera.

Peoria Production Unit
Our manufacturing facility in Peoria, United States, opened in 2008. This facility primarily focuses on producing ASME-certified lifts for the US market, including product lines such as IGD and Symmetry. In addition, the factory supports the Latin American market through its export division.

Gdansk Production Unit
Our manufacturing facility in Gdansk opened in 2022. This facility supports the production operations in Sweden and focuses on manufacturing essential lift components, such as guide rails. Kalea Lift Indonesia has been present since 2016 as a direct principal under Cibes Lift Group. Bringing Swedish design and quality standards, Kalea Lift Indonesia provides premium home lift solutions for the Indonesian market.
Today, Kalea Lift Indonesia has its headquarters in Jakarta and Experience Centres in Makassar, Bandung, and Surabaya, with plans for continued growth and expansion across Indonesia.

Today, we provide compact lift solutions for customers around the world. Our lifts are designed for markets where a separate machine room, deep pit, or traditional lift shaft is not required. This makes our lift installation process fast and convenient. KALEA operates in Sweden, France, Austria, Germany, Norway, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Russia, China, and Indonesia, providing solutions for small home lifts without deep pits and barrier-free platform lifts.
Establishment of the Asia Pacific Headquarters
From Sweden to China
In 2018, the Kalea Lift headquarters in Sweden decided to invest in establishing the Asia Pacific headquarters. After inspecting more than 50 potential investment locations and carefully evaluating all relevant factors, the final location selected was the Jiaxing High-Tech Development Zone. This marked the beginning of our brand’s journey from Sweden to China.
This factory was the first production facility established outside Sweden in more than 70 years. Its purpose is to provide better services to customers, support more customised requirements, shorten delivery times, accelerate the group’s global expansion, and strengthen the global supply chain.
The new Asia Pacific headquarters covers an area of approximately 11,700 square metres. The facility serves as a centre for product development, testing and experimentation, lift storage, imported spare parts, and light assembly to meet specific customer requirements. The core components of KALEA lifts will continue to be imported from the global headquarters in Gävle, Sweden.
