In Kalea, we designed our lift with a purpose, and one of it is to bring solutions for your problem. That’s why, our lift are always made with a wheelchair user experience in mind.
Kalea home lifts are available in a variety of sizes, including sizes that are suitable for wheelchairs and companion. It is known as a wheelchair-friendly lift because it prioritizes the comfort and safety of wheelchair users.
We designed the position of the button on the lift to be easily reachable for those of you who use a wheelchair. Lift buttons are positioned horizontally for easier access. And rather than making the button in a vertical position, we make it in a slanted position; easier to press. This is the amount of attention to detail we have put in our thoughts when building and designing our lifts. Always.
The way elevator doors open and close is designed to facilitate wheelchair users. That’s why we love swing doors. Safety-wise, we usually recommend it for wheelchair needs rather than sliding doors. When the door closed too fast it won’t hit the body/arm of the wheelchair user. Worse case = pushing them into the lift, rather than squeezing them in the middle of the door.
Over the year, we may evolve as a more premium & cutting-edge technology home lift provider. But wheelchair friendliness is always in our DNA. That’s why we never abandoned those specific features both in our premium lines for homes and entry-level lines for public & commercial.
